Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?
1 Corinthians 3:16 (NKJV)

Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are Gods.
1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (NKJV)

Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone, in whom the whole building, being fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.
Ephesians 2:19-22 (NKJV) (Christ Our Cornerstone)

And Mary said: My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior. For He who is mighty has done great things for me, and holy is His name.

The Temple of God

I guess I should specify before going any farther, I can see some people questioning this. There are two (2) types of Temples of God, physical and spiritual listed in the Bible. There are three (3) physical Temples in Jerusalem listed in scripture;
        1) Solomon's Temple that was destroyed by the Babylonian Empire in 586 BCE,
        2) Herod's Temple that was destroyed by the Romans in 70 AD,
        3) the 3rd Temple used by the anti-christ listed in Daniel and Revelation in the end times. This is yet to be built, the Old Testament Jews in Jerusalem are getting ready to build it any day now!
Temple Institute, "The Temple Institute is dedicated to every aspect of the Holy Temple of Jerusalem, and the central role it fulfilled, and will once again fulfill, "

The spiritual Temple of God referred to in the Bible (and this paper) is the born-again hearts of the believers in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the Son of God. The Spirit of God indwells every born-again believers heart. The Holy Spirit leads, guides, directs, convicts; He is our Helper, Comforter, Councilor, our Intercessor; He strengthens us and guides us in all truth, He is the Spirit of the Living God that lives within our hearts! The Temple of God is our born-again heart! Praise the Lord! Thank You Jesus! Thank You Holy Spirit! Thank You Abba!

God Almighty [El Shaddai], created the heavens and the earth and everything there in for us His children. We are created in Gods image and He loves us more than anything. God created the heavens and the earth for us, to live with Him, to walk with our Lord in paradise for all eternity.

Our Heavenly Father knew us from before time began, and He wants a personal relationship with us. Our Lord longs for our love; and He wants us to know Him. He gave His only begotten Son as a sacrifice for our sins so that we would know Him and live, now and forever with Him in love.

God wants to live with us - His born again children, born of the Spirit. And because of His Son, our risen Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, we have our Lords righteousness and therefore are in right standing with God our Father. Praise the Lord! Thank You Jesus!

1) God is Love and He Loves Us

Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.
1 John 4:7-11 (NKJV)

but whoever follows His word, in him the love of God has truly been perfected. By this we know that we are in Him:
1 John 2:5 (NASB)

Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has been born of God, and everyone who loves the Father loves the child born of Him. By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and follow His commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments; and His commandments are not burdensome.
1 John 5:1-3 (NASB)

And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.
1 John 4:16 (NKJV)

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
John 3:16-17 (NKJV)

Therefore be imitators of God as dear children. And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling aroma.
Ephesians 5:1-2 (NKJV)

Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully.
1 Peter 5:7 (Amplified Bible, Classic Edition)

And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for [upon] grace. For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.
John 1:16-17 (NKJV)

Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Fathers will. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.
Matthew 10:29-31 (NKJV)

4 But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us,
5 even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),
6 and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,
7 that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.
8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,
9 not of works, lest anyone should boast.
10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.
Ephesians 2:4-10 (NKJV)

God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
1 Corinthians 1:9 (NKJV)

But as it is written: Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.
1 Corinthians 2:9 (NKJV)

I will give them a heart to know Me, that I am the Lord; and they will be My people, and I will be their God, for they will return to Me with their whole heart.
Jeremiah 24:7 (MEV)

        - We Are Created in Gods Image

Then God said, Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness;
Genesis 1:26a (NKJV) (Man Created in the Image of God)

And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall on Adam, and he slept; and He took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh in its place. Then the rib which the Lord God had taken from man He made into a woman, and He brought her to the man.
Genesis 2:21-22 (NKJV)

In the day that God created man, He made him in the likeness of God. He created them male and female, and blessed them and called them Mankind in the day they were created.
Genesis 5:1b-2 (NKJV)

For in the image of God He made man.
Genesis 9:6b (NKJV)

Everyone who is called by My name, Whom I have created for My glory; I have formed him, yes, I have made him.
Isaiah 43:7 (NKJV)

        - God Loves Us, More Than Anything

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
John 3:16-17 (NKJV)

Anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love. In this way the love of God was revealed to us, that God sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. In this is love: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the atoning sacrifice for our sins.
1 John 4:8-10 (MEV)

But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 5:8 (NKJV)

But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,
Ephesians 2:4-6 (NKJV)

Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.
1 John 3:1 (NKJV)

When you pass through the waters, I am with you; when you pass through the streams, they will not overwhelm you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not harm you. For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your deliverer. I have handed over Egypt as a ransom price, Ethiopia and Seba in place of you. Since you are precious and special in my sight, [you are honored] and I love you, I will hand over people in place of you, nations in place of your life.
Isaiah 43:2-4 (NET)

For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8:38-39 (NKJV)

What is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of man that You visit [care for] him? For You have made him a little lower than the angels, And You have crowned him with glory and honor. You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet,

For the Lord takes pleasure in His people; He will beautify the humble with salvation.
Psalm 149:4 (NKJV)

And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from doing them good; but I will put My fear in their hearts so that they will not depart from Me. Yes, I will rejoice over them to do them good, and I will assuredly plant them in this land, with all My heart and with all My soul.
Jeremiah 32:40-41 (NKJV)

The Lord takes pleasure in those who fear Him, In those who hope in His mercy.
Psalm 147:11 (NKJV)

1 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.
3 Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler And from the perilous pestilence.
4 He shall cover you with His feathers, And under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler.
5 You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, Nor of the arrow that flies by day,
6 Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.
7 A thousand may fall at your side, And ten thousand at your right hand; But it shall not come near you.
8 Only with your eyes shall you look, And see the reward of the wicked.
9 Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, Even the Most High, your dwelling place,
10 No evil shall befall you, Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling;
11 For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways.
12 In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone.
13 You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra, The young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot.
14 Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will [exalt him] set him on high, because he has known My name.
15 He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him.
16 With long life I will satisfy him, And show him My salvation.
Psalm 91 (NKJV) (Safety of Abiding in the Presence of God.)

        - We Are Predestined From Before the Foundation of the World to Know Him

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.

2 Timothy 1:9 (NKJV)

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will,

2 Thessalonians 2:13-14 (NKJV)

But when He, Who had chosen and set me apart [even] before I was born and had called me by His grace (His undeserved favor and blessing), saw fit and was pleased to reveal (unveil, disclose) His Son within me so that I might proclaim Him among the Gentiles (the non-Jewish world) as the glad tidings (Gospel),
Galatians 1:15-16a (Amplified Bible, Classic Edition)

1 John 1:8-9 (NKJV)

that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Romans 10:9-10 (NKJV)

and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith; that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death,
Philippians 3:9-10 (NKJV)

Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

Amen.
Ephesians 3:19-21 (NKJV)

        - I AM, Jesus 7 Statements

31 Our fathers ate the manna in the desert; as it is written, He gave them bread from heaven to eat.
32 Then Jesus said to them, Most assuredly, I say to you, Moses did not give you the bread from heaven, but My Father gives you the true bread from heaven.
33 For the bread of God is He who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.
34 Then they said to Him, Lord, give us this bread always.
35 And Jesus said to them, I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.
36 But I said to you that you have seen Me and yet do not believe.
37 All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out.
38 For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me.
39 This is the will of the Father who sent Me, that of all He has given Me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up at the last day.
40 And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day.
John 6:31-40 (NKJV) (I AM the Bread of life)

1 But Jesus went to the Mount of Olives.
2 Early in the morning He returned to the temple. All the people came to Him, and He sat down and taught them.
3 The scribes and Pharisees brought a woman caught in adultery. When they had put her in the middle,
4 they said to Him, Teacher, this woman was caught in the very act of adultery.
5 Now Moses in the law commanded us to stone such, but what do You say?
6 They said this, testing Him, that they might have something of which to accuse Him. But Jesus stooped down and wrote on the ground with His finger, as though He did not hear them.
7 So when they continued asking Him, He stood up and said to them, Let him who is without sin among you be the first to throw a stone at her.
8 Again He stooped down and wrote on the ground.
9 Being convicted by their conscience, those who heard it went out one by one, beginning with the eldest even to the last. Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.
10 When Jesus had stood up and saw no one but the woman, He said to her, Woman, where are your accusers? Did no one condemn you?
11 She said, No one, Lord. Jesus said to her, Neither do I condemn you. Go and sin no more.
12 Again, Jesus spoke to them, saying, I am the light of the world. Whoever follows Me shall not walk in the darkness, but shall have the light of life.
John 8:1-12 (MEV) (I AM the Light of the World)

1 Truly, truly I say to you, he who does not enter by the door into the sheepfold, but climbs up some other way, is a thief and a robber.
2 But he who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.
3 To him the doorkeeper opens, and the sheep hear his voice. He calls his own sheep by name, and he leads them out.
4 When he brings out his own sheep, he goes before them. And the sheep follow him, for they know his voice.
5 Yet they will never follow a stranger, but will run away from him. For they do not know the voice of strangers.
6 Jesus told them this parable, but they did not understand what He was telling them.
7 Then Jesus said to them again, Truly, truly I say to you, I am the door of the sheep.
8 All who came before Me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them.
9 I am the door. If anyone enters through Me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture.
10 The thief does not come, except to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
John 10:1-10 (MEV) (I AM the door of the sheep)

11 I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down His life for the sheep.
12 But he who is a hired hand, and not a shepherd, who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming, and leaves the sheep, and runs away. So the wolf catches the sheep and scatters them.
13 The hired hand runs away because he is a hired hand and does not care about the sheep.
14 I am the good shepherd. I know My sheep and am known by My own.
15 Even as the Father knows Me, so I know the Father. And I lay down My life for the sheep.
16 I have other sheep who are not of this fold. I must also bring them, and they will hear My voice. There will be one flock and one shepherd.
17 Therefore My Father loves Me, because I lay down My life that I may take it up again.
18 No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down Myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it up again. I received this command from My Father.
John 10:11-18 (MEV) (I AM the good shepherd)

1 Now a certain man was sick, Lazarus of Bethany, the town of Mary and her sister Martha.
2 It was that Mary who anointed the Lord with fragrant oil and wiped His feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was sick.
3 Therefore the sisters sent to Him, saying, Lord, behold, he whom You love is sick.
4 When Jesus heard that, He said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God may be glorified through it.
5 Now Jesus loved Martha and her sister and Lazarus.
6 So, when He heard that he was sick, He stayed two more days in the place where He was.
7 Then after this He said to the disciples, Let us go to Judea again.
8 The disciples said to Him, Rabbi, lately the Jews sought to stone You, and are You going there again?
9 Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day? If anyone walks in the day, he does not stumble, because he sees the light of this world.
10 But if one walks in the night, he stumbles, because the light is not in him.
11 These things He said, and after that He said to them, Our friend Lazarus sleeps, but I go that I may wake him up.
12 Then His disciples said, Lord, if he sleeps he will get well.
13 However, Jesus spoke of his death, but they thought that He was speaking about taking rest in sleep.
14 Then Jesus said to them plainly, Lazarus is dead.
15 And I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, that you may believe. Nevertheless let us go to him.
16 Then Thomas, who is called the Twin, said to his fellow disciples, Let us also go, that we may die with Him.
17 So when Jesus came, He found that he had already been in the tomb four days.
18 Now Bethany was near Jerusalem, about two miles away.
19 And many of the Jews had joined the women around Martha and Mary, to comfort them concerning their brother.
20 Then Martha, as soon as she heard that Jesus was coming, went and met Him, but Mary was sitting in the house.
21 Now Martha said to Jesus, Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died.
22 But even now I know that whatever You ask of God, God will give You.
23 Jesus said to her, Your brother will rise again.
24 Martha said to Him, I know that he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.
25 Jesus said to her, I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.
26 And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?
27 She said to Him, Yes, Lord, I believe that You are the Christ, the Son of God, who is to come into the world.
28 And when she had said these things, she went her way and secretly called Mary her sister, saying, The Teacher has come and is calling for you.
29 As soon as she heard that, she arose quickly and came to Him.
30 Now Jesus had not yet come into the town, but was in the place where Martha met Him.
31 Then the Jews who were with her in the house, and comforting her, when they saw that Mary rose up quickly and went out, followed her, saying, She is going to the tomb to weep there.
32 Then, when Mary came where Jesus was, and saw Him, she fell down at His feet, saying to Him, Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died.
33 Therefore, when Jesus saw her weeping, and the Jews who came with her weeping, He groaned in the spirit and was troubled.
34 And He said, Where have you laid him? They said to Him, Lord, come and see.
35 Jesus wept.
36 Then the Jews said, See how He loved him!
37 And some of them said, Could not this Man, who opened the eyes of the blind, also have kept this man from dying?
38 Then Jesus, again groaning in Himself, came to the tomb. It was a cave, and a stone lay against it.
39 Jesus said, Take away the stone. Martha, the sister of him who was dead, said to Him, Lord, by this time there is a stench, for he has been dead four days.
40 Jesus said to her, Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?
41 Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead man was lying. And Jesus lifted up His eyes and said, Father, I thank You that You have heard Me.
42 And I know that You always hear Me, but because of the people who are standing by I said this, that they may believe that You sent Me.
43 Now when He had said these things, He cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth!
44 And he who had died came out bound hand and foot with graveclothes, and his face was wrapped with a cloth. Jesus said to them, Loose him, and let him go.
45 Then many of the Jews who had come to Mary, and had seen the things Jesus did, believed in Him.
John 11:1-45 (NKJV) (I AM the Resurrection and the Life)

1 Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.
2 In My Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.
4 And where I go you know, and the way you know.
5 Thomas said to Him, Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?
6 Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
7 If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him.
8 Philip said to Him, Lord, show us the Father, and it is sufficient for us.
9 Jesus said to him, Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, Show us the Father?
10 Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works.
11 Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me, or else believe Me for the sake of the works themselves.
John 14:1-11 (NKJV) (I AM the Way, the Truth, and the Life)

1 I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser.
2 Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit.
3 You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you.
4 Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.
5 I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.
6 If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned.
7 If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.

20) which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places,
21) far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.

6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
John 3:3-6 (NKJV)

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to obtain an inheritance which is imperishable, undefiled, and will not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, who are protected by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

1 John 2:27 (Amplified Bible)

But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His. 12 So he sent and brought him in. Now he was ruddy, with bright eyes, and good-looking. And the Lord said, Arise, anoint him; for this is the one!
13 Then Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the midst of his brothers; and the Spirit of the Lord came upon David from that day forward. So Samuel arose and went to Ramah.

Finally then, brethren, we urge and exhort in the Lord Jesus that you should abound more and more, just as you received from us how you ought to walk and to please God; for you know what commandments we gave you through the Lord Jesus. 3 Because Your lovingkindness is better than life, My lips shall praise You.
4 Thus I will bless You while I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name.
5 My soul shall be satisfied as with fat and abundance, And my mouth shall praise You with joyful lips.

If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples.

Ephesians 3:17-19 (NKJV)

8 Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ

10 that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death,
11 if, by any means, I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.

21) far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.
